Quotes from my Diary: A collection since childhood

I know many of you reading this post must surely be Quotation lovers and would agree “A quote a day will take your stress away”. Quotations are those words of philosophy which have kept a lot of us moving in spite of the hard times that we face in our lives. How wondering it is that some of these words were spoken by somebody far away from us on a distant land, unknown or sometimes doesn’t even exist in the present moment but knew that the words they would say will definitely give someone in the faraway land some strength in their tussles.
And the quotes I will share with you are the ones close to my heart and I look up to them whenever I am on my low version.

I have collected them since I was a school going girl and was surrounded by the dilemma of right and wrong, the dilemma of what is taught and preached but what is followed. It was when I looked up to them in my diary to set values for myself.

As Oscar Wilde once said,

“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.”

Also, who doesn’t love using quotations? As Dorothy L. Sayers has said,

“I always have a quotation for everything – it saves original thinking.”😉

Let’s delve into them and try to gain some inspiration from the words. I am sure you would find yourself a thought for the day.

Be nicer than necessary to everyone you meet. Everyone is fighting some kind of battle”

When you live for a strong purpose, then hard work isn’t an option. It’s a necessity”

It’s supposed to be hard, if it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. The hard… is what makes it great”

Don’t be a stone found everywhere, be like a pearl, precious and rare”

No might make them angry but it will make you free – if no one has ever told you, your freedom is more important than their anger”

Be decisive- take a decision for your life or someone else will”

What ultimately matters the most will not be what others say about your life but what God says”

Self-confidence is the most attractive quality a person can have. How can anyone see how awesome you are if you can’t see it yourself”

Just remember there is someone out there who is more than happy with less than what you have”

You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice”

Stay strong, beautiful because things will get better, it might be stormy now but it can’t rain forever”

Be a good person, but don’t waste time to prove it”

You don’t have to be great to start but you have to start to be great”

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure”

Don’t be afraid to stand for what you believe in, even if that means standing alone”

I hope that you would have felt motivated and high spirit after reading some of them. Do pen down the one you like the most.

Happy Reading!signature

How cute that you used to save quotes. I love them but have never jotted them down. I just say “oooh” and move on. Lol. The great quotes are the ones that turn on a little lightbulb, that make me look at something in a new way. These are great and I love the pairings with books. 🙂
