Willow gave up on love a long time ago but to keep her chakras aligned and life force flowing, she abides by her tried and true rule: love him for ninety days and leave him. Consequently, she can feed her body while protecting her heart.
I was very excited to know what happened ahead, how Kendall and Giovanni’s wedding went on, what happened to the rest of the cousins in The Lonely Spinsters Club as ‘Grandma Beverley’ called them. And then I got this one, Willow, to fulfil my heart’s desire. I was very excited to read it. Willow is yet another member of the Spinster’s Club, trying to attain detachment in her life but some of her chakras lead to an imbalance and she has to go for her set ninety-day rule. Yes, she follows a rule, in order to fulfil her body needs. But why did she chose such a rule is something you will encounter in the book itself.
But when She meets Josh, things take a turn. The last time she met him was a year ago on Ruthie’s wedding and they had a great night together. She felt he was the perfect fit for her but the only thing that stops her from being in a relationship is her ‘Commitment’ to herself, a commitment to not go in any relationship ever. But life is not what you think it is. ‘Never say never’ is what plays its trick. She tries to be in a ninety-day rule with this man, but something stops her or I would say, someone stops her. Who is it? Kendall and Giovanni’s wedding is being planned and Willow is struggling hard with her feelings. Also, she doesn’t want to hurt Josh because Kendall is friends with him for a long time. What will happen to her feelings for him? Will she ever express herself, because she hates the lovey-dovey mood and finds it infectious too😂 Also for her having a partner is a burden in and of itself. Do you think she will ever realise what is going in her heart? Or will she keep on thinking, “Josh may or may not be her soulmate”? Will she continue with the thought, “Why should I bind myself to one when I can have as many as I want?” Aren’t you excited to know the answers to these questions? Pick out the Book then👇
I personally liked the book because I have already read Kendall and wanted to read more about the sisters and I am even more excited for the 3rd in the series which is Hester Book#3 because the ending leaves me on tenterhooks🧐 “If Hester is not with brad, then who?
I liked Willow because I could somewhere resonate with some thoughts that she had about relationships and the doubts she carried were similar to that of any girl of the current generation. Also, I would recommend you read Kendall first because then you will find the book more engaging and relatable, although the books can be read as a standalone.
Kendall Book Review👇
I like the writing style and the words and sentences are very well woven and employed. Also, I really found the book funny at many a place and like I said in my earlier review of Kendall, I love Grandma Beverly. She is such a caring yet sarcastic Grandma😅.
The book revolves around 21-st century women and their problems, their insecurities, their concerns about relationships and love are very well taken up by the Author, Daphne Hargrow in the book. If you’re in search of some Fun, piquant, occupying Chick Lit, I would recommend you pick this one, because this will surely entertain you till the end.
The best lines from the Book that I would love to quote here for an ending and I am sure you all will love them too are:
Why couldn’t people be more like Dogs? Simple, non-verbal, and present. They don’t care about the future. They don’t make commitments. And even though they seem to have a full range of emotions, they don’t get caught up in social constructs; they just do what feels good.”
